India's shooters continued to shine as the men's skeet team comprising Angad Vir Singh, Gurjoat Singh, and Anand Jeet Singh secured a bronze medal. They scored a total of 355 points, with China winning the gold medal with 362 points and Qatar claiming silver with 359 points. This victory marked India's tenth medal in shooting at the Asian Games.
Earlier in the competition, Indian shooter Sift Kaur Samra displayed an exceptional performance, securing a gold medal in the women's 50m rifle 3P individual final. Sift achieved a remarkable score of 469.6 points, breaking the world record, Asian record, and Asian Games record. This gold medal marked India's ninth shooting medal at the event and the fifth gold medal overall at the Asian Games in Hangzhou.
India's shooters have been delivering outstanding performances, contributing significantly to the country's medal tally at the Asian Games.
