An Indian expatriate living in Dubai has won the AED 15 million (around ₹35 crore) grand prize in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Series 278 draw. The winner, 30-year-old technician Sandeep Kumar Prasad from Uttar Pradesh, has been working in Dubai Drydocks for the past three years.
Sandeep had purchased the winning ticket number 200669 on August 19 as part of a group of 20. He revealed that he had been buying tickets for only three months when luck struck. Initially doubtful when contacted by the Big Ticket team, he later described the moment as life-changing.
Sharing his plans, Sandeep said the money will allow him to take care of his father’s health and provide better support for his family. He also intends to return to India to start a business and secure their future. “For the first time in my life, there is so much happiness,” he said after the win.
Sandeep, who is married and has two brothers and a sister, expressed gratitude to Big Ticket and encouraged others to keep trying their luck. “If you try, you will also win,” he said.
