IndiGo, a prominent airline, has revealed plans to commence direct flights from Mumbai to Ayodhya, beginning January 15. The announcement follows the inauguration of the Ayodhya International Airport by PM Modi on December 30. IndiGo had previously disclosed its operational schedule, initiating flights from Ayodhya to Delhi on January 6, 2024, and from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya on January 11, 2024.
Vinay Malhotra, global sales head of IndiGo, emphasized that the direct connectivity between Ayodhya and Mumbai, in addition to Delhi and Ahmedabad, is expected to significantly enhance travel, tourism, and business opportunities.
Ayodhya, with the completion of the Shri Ram International Airport, is poised to establish air connectivity with major cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, and Ahmedabad. District Magistrate Gaurav Dayal of Ayodhya mentioned that the completion of the international airport dedicated to Shri Ram signals the imminent commencement of commercial flights, marking a significant step in Ayodhya's transformation into an economic hub.
