IndiGo on Tuesday announced schedule changes and cancellations for several international services due to the evolving situation around Iran. The airline said operations over Iranian airspace have been restricted as a precaution, with affected routes suspended until February 28.
As part of the adjustments, IndiGo flights to and from Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku and Tashkent have been cancelled. The airline said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of passengers and crew amid continued uncertainty in the region.
IndiGo stated that customers impacted by the cancellations can explore alternate travel options or opt for a full refund, as per their preference. The airline added that its operational plans are under constant review as the situation develops.
Tensions involving Iran and the United States have led several airlines to reassess flight paths and schedules. Despite ongoing disruptions, airlines have reiterated that safety remains their highest priority.
