Jr Doctors announce 'hunger strike' from today, says demands not met
On Friday, a widespread Microsoft outage impacted global operations, including major US airlines and numerous airports. The outage, which also affected Microsoft's cloud services, led to significant disruptions in flight operations. In response, IndiGo staff had to manually write boarding passes for passengers. A notable instance of this was shared online by passenger Akshay Kothari, who received a hand-written boarding pass for his flight from Hyderabad to Kolkata. Kothari posted a photo of the pass on X, noting, "The Microsoft / CrowdStrike outage has taken down most airports in India. I got my first hand-written boarding pass today." His post has garnered three million views and widespread attention.
Microsoft's global outage, which resulted in the infamous blue screen of death error for Windows 10 users, was reportedly linked to a problem that arose during a Crowdstrike update. The disruption caused significant issues across various platforms, leading to delays and manual workarounds in many sectors, including aviation.
