An IndiGo flight from Surat to Delhi was diverted to Ahmedabad after it suffered a bird strike during take-off on Sunday.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed the incident and added that the plane landed safely in Ahmedabad.
IndiGo flight 6E-646, which was operating from Surat to Delhi on Sunday, was "diverted to Ahmedabad when the bird struck during climb to Surat", the DGCA said.
Last week, an IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Odisha's Deogarh was diverted to Lucknow airport following a "specific bomb threat", which was later declared a hoax.
