A 37-year-old Avinash Majhi, a food delivery executive, is fighting for his life after being denied a hospital bed despite visiting six hospitals.
Avinash was critically injured in a bike accident on Tuesday night when a lorry hit him from behind at 10:20 PM while he was en route to deliver food. He was rushed to multiple hospitals, but all cited unavailability of beds. Finally, he was taken to the Trauma Care Center at SSKM Hospital. However, his problems did not end there. The family alleges that Avinash was harassed and is now being treated on a trolley due to a lack of beds.
Avinash’s condition is deteriorating rapidly, and more than 12 hours after the accident, he has yet to receive proper treatment. His family expressed their anger and frustration, accusing the hospital administration of gross negligence and inhumane treatment.
