Internet banned in 7 districts of Punjab due to farmers' protest

As the farmers' movement enters its fourth day, internet services have been suspended in certain regions of Haryana as a precautionary measure. In Haryana, mobile internet will remain inaccessible in seven districts until February 17, while in Punjab, internet services are slated to resume by February 16 at midnight. The shutdown primarily affects areas under specific police stations in Patiala, Sangrur, and Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, and districts like Ambala, Kurukshetra, and Hisar in Haryana.

The suspension of internet services has prompted the postponement of exams at Kurukshetra University, affecting students and causing inconvenience. Meanwhile, disruptions caused by the farmers' movement are evident in Haryana, with border closures leading to logistical challenges and price hikes in vegetable markets.
