Ahead of the winter session's commencement in the Jharkhand Assembly, stringent measures have been introduced, restricting entry into the Assembly premises, particularly the audience gallery. Concerns about security, stemming from recent lapses in Parliament's security, prompted the Assembly Speaker, Rabindranath Mahato, to revise entry protocols. Under the new guidelines, general entry into the spectator gallery won't be permitted. Only individuals recommended by MLAs will gain access to this area, emphasizing a stringent approach to entering the Assembly.
In an all-party meeting led by Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, discussions centered on ensuring smooth House proceedings during the forthcoming winter session, scheduled to conclude on December 21. Key figures, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam, Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri, and other party leaders, deliberated over the session's agenda. Speaker Mahato emphasized the joint responsibility of the ruling party and opposition to facilitate meaningful discussions during the session, aiming to address public interest issues, while CM Soren reassured comprehensive responses to queries raised in the House.
