Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren has been airlifted to a Delhi hospital for advanced treatment after suffering a critical brain injury from a fall at his residence in Jamshedpur on Saturday morning. The minister was initially rushed to a local hospital where doctors detected blood clotting and a severe head injury. According to Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, Ramdas Soren's health "suddenly deteriorated" following the fall in his bathroom. "He fell in the bathroom, which resulted in a severe brain injury and a blood clot," Ansari said, confirming that he is in constant touch with the family and monitoring the situation. Former Union minister and senior BJP leader Arjun Munda, who was present at Sonari airport in Jamshedpur, stated that Soren suffered a "brain haemorrhage due to the sudden increase in pressure."
Munda further confirmed that Soren's condition is "critical" but expressed hope for his speedy recovery. The decision to airlift the minister to a Delhi hospital, with sources indicating Apollo Hospital, was made to provide the specialized medical care required for his serious condition. The incident has sent shockwaves through the state's political circles, with many leaders appealing for prayers for his recovery.
