Reconstruction of crime scene in Kasba as probe intensifies in Kolkata college student rape case
In a brave act, the Quick Response Team (QRT) of a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) showed courage and risked their lives to save women and children after the car they were traveling in caught fire on the streets of Ranchi.
Officers smashed the windows of the burning car to rescue the trapped people, even as smoke continued to billow from the vehicle. Running away from fire is the most natural reaction for every human being. But the QRT heroes of the SSP team risked their own lives to save the women and children.
It is suspected that a short circuit may have started the fire in the car that burned to ashes. The entire family was about to attend a family function when their car caught fire on the Ring Road near the ITBP camp. The car's brakes suddenly stopped working and the engine caught fire, after which the vehicle locked automatically.
One of the family members tried to stop the car and open the window and shouted for help, but to no avail. When they were trapped in a burning vehicle near the ITBP camp, the team of QRT Ranchi SSP Kaushal Kishore luckily passed by the spot. The brave officers, without a moment's thought, broke the window of the car and saved the women and children.
