JIS Group's "Samman 2023" awards recognizes achievements in sports, literature, and culture

The award ceremony of JS Group, Samman 2023 was held at Science City Auditorium. Celebrities, educationists, cultural and sports personalities were present on the occasion. This year the Maha Samman was given to retired Indian footballer Shyam Thapa, author Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay and Indian singer Usha Uthup.

Various universities of JIS Group were awarded in different categories. Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group, said, “We are delighted to host the Samman Samaroh 2023. This is our grandest award ceremony which showcases exceptional skills in various fields. The occasion is not only a celebration of the incredible achievements of eminent personalities celebrates but also encourages others.

JIS Director Simarpreet Singh said that the journey of this JIS started from 2016. Whoever has contributed in taking this journey forward. He is honored. Everyone works hard to take it forward. General Manager of JIS, Vidyut Mazumdar told that Maha Samman is being organized since last three years. This time also people associated with culture, literature and sports have been honoured.

Former footballer Shyam Thapa said that he is feeling great after receiving the honour. It is my wish that people move forward in the field of sports as well. This is a very special way by JIS Group where people from different Kshetras are honored. Writer Srishanendu Mukhopadhyay said that he is extremely happy to receive this honour. Such award ceremonies are organized where students are encouraged to do better in the future.

Singer Usha Uthup thanked JIS for giving her this honour. She said that I am honored to be here along with other celebrities in this honor from JIS. JIS is moving forward by performing much better in its works. A cultural program was also organized in the ceremony in which all the guests, employees and students present enjoyed the program. Meanwhile, Usha Uthupu enthralled the audience by singing the Bollywood song "Darling" in her melodious voice.
