Babji Sanyal, a journalist, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Ekbalpore on Monday morning. The incident was reported to Ekbalpore Police Station around 10:30 AM after a neighbour discovered Sanyal unconscious in a room adjacent to the kitchen at his home on 18, Ekbalpore Lane. The neighbour immediately alerted locals, and with their help, rushed him to Netaji Nursing Home in Ekbalpore. Upon arrival, he was declared brought dead.
The body was then returned to his residence. Ekbalpore Police initiated a case of Unnatural Death (UD) and conducted an inquest at the scene. During the inquest, no external injuries were found on the body. Police are now awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Authorities have started their investigation, focusing on various potential factors, including Sanyal's living situation as he had been residing alone. No immediate signs of foul play were observed. The police investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected after the post-mortem report is received.
