The BJP is eyeing the Lok Sabha elections and Panchayat elections. BJP's All India President JP Nadda is coming to the state once again on February 12, Sunday. Apart from meetings with the party workers, the BJP president is also scheduled to hold two public meetings. Though he will be on a one day tour. JP Nadda will blow the bugle for the panchayat election campaign on behalf of BJP.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was going to visit the state on February 12, Sunday, but due to unavoidable reasons, it is not possible for Shah to come to the state on February 12. Therefore, BJP's All India President JP Nadda is coming to the state on Sunday in his place. On that day, he also has a program to hold public meetings in two districts of the state, East Burdwan and East Medinipur.
According to BJP sources, BJP's All India President JP Nadda will land at Kolkata airport on the morning of Sunday, 12 February. From the airport, he will go directly to East Burdwan. He will offer prayers in Kalimandir there. Then the BJP president will hold a public meeting in Katwa. He will hold a meeting with the party leaders of the district after the public meeting. Then in the afternoon, Nadda will hold a public meeting in East Medinipur. There also, after the public meeting, the All India President of BJP will sit in a discussion with the party leaders. Then from there he will come to Kolkata airport by helicopter and leave for Delhi by night.
The BJP is desperate to consolidate their ground in the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the agenda for holding 12 public meetings in Bengal was decided by each BJP central leadership at the party's Central Committee meeting. According to this programme, the central leadership of the BJP has already started entering the fray. Panchayat elections are also scheduled to be held in Bengal this year and on the pretext of panchayat elections, BJP has started an exercise to strengthen its organization at the local level and these public meetings are being considered as a part of that.
