India beats Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first T20, chase down total in 11.5 overs
Junior doctors, who have been protesting in front of Swasthya Bhawan over the cease-work following the rape and murder at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital, sent a conditional acceptance to the Mamata Banerjee government on Monday. The government had issued its "fifth and final" invitation for a meeting to resolve the ongoing impasse.
In their response, the junior doctors demanded that the meeting be videographed by both the government and the West Bengal Junior Doctor Front (WBJDF). They requested that if the government could not arrange their videographer, the entire video file should be handed over to the WBJDF immediately after the meeting. Additionally, the WBJDF insisted on bringing their own minutes and transcript takers to document the proceedings. The minutes would be signed by both parties and submitted to the chief minister after the meeting.
The junior doctors, who are heading towards Kalighat are reportedly going with two stenographers for recording the minutes of the meeting.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Manoj Pant, who sent an invite for a meeting with CM Mamata Banerjee to the protesting doctors, told them that both parties would sign the minutes of the meeting, and copies would be shared with each at the end.
