Senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has raised questions on the Supreme Court's decision to withdraw the Calcutta High Court Justice Abhijit Ganguly from the single bench hearing the teacher appointment corruption cases.
He said that Justice Ganguly is a hero for people agitating to get jobs. While corruption is the biggest cause of fear.
When asked about Justice Ganguly, Dilip Ghosh, who arrived for a morning walk at Eco Park in New Town on Saturday, said that he is an icon of justice. People's hopes are symbols of expectations. For about a month there were rumors that the hearing of appointment related matters would be taken away from him, so now that such a decision has come, there is a smell of conspiracy somewhere behind it. It is a matter of concern if the judicial process is not kept out of the ambit of these conspiracies.
Notably, Justice Ganguly also spoke to the media after leaving his chambers on Friday night. He said that even though people consider him a hero, but today after the Supreme Court's decision, that hero has died. Now those hoping to land a job may have to wait a lifetime
