Jyotipriya Mallick was hospitalized, health stabalizes

Jyotipriya Mallick, who was recently arrested in connection with a corruption case related to ration distribution, was admitted to a hospital on Friday due to high blood sugar and kidney problems. This development comes after Malik fainted during a court hearing where he was sent to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for 10 days.

The hospital, in a late-night bulletin, reported that the 66-year-old minister's condition is currently stable following a series of medical tests, including CT scans, MRIs, and blood tests. Notably,  Mallick had initially declined to use a government ambulance and was instead transported to a private hospital near EM Bypass in a private ambulance. The court has ruled that the expenses for his medical treatment will be borne by his family.

The arrest of Minister Jyotipriya Mallick is part of a wider investigation into alleged corruption in ration distribution. His health issues during court proceedings have prompted concerns, with ED officials monitoring his condition. As this case unfolds, the spotlight remains on the minister's health and the legal proceedings surrounding the corruption charges.
