BRS leader K Kavitha has voiced strong criticism against the Congress party, particularly Rahul Gandhi, over DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran's contentious comments regarding Hindi speakers. Kavitha expressed skepticism about the Bharat Jodo Yatra initiated by Rahul Gandhi, characterizing it as a public relations move.

She also raised concerns about Gandhi's silence regarding DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's remarks on Sanatana Dharma. The video featuring Maran making remarks about individuals from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Tamil Nadu sparked significant controversy, with Kavitha emphasizing the potentially divisive impact of such statements on the nation.

K Kavitha, in an interview with news agencies, questioned the sincerity of Rahul Gandhi's efforts to unite the nation through the Bharat Jodo Yatra. She urged Gandhi to address controversial comments made by allies and provide clarity to the people, especially with the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Kavitha emphasized the need for Gandhi to prove that the yatra was not merely a public relations tactic and to reassure the public that Congress was not against Hindus, laborers, or Hindi-speaking states.
