Kalyan spotted speaking with Samik at Parliament; Mahua joins in too

Trinamool Congress MP from Serampore, Kalyan Banerjee, was suspended from the Lok Sabha during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament. The suspension followed allegations of misbehavior toward a female Member of Parliament. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal moved the government's proposal for his suspension, which was subsequently approved by the Lok Sabha Speaker following a voice vote.

Following his suspension, Kalyan Banerjee exited the Parliament building and engaged in a prolonged conversation outside with West Bengal BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya. The two leaders stood together and spoke for about 15 minutes in full view of the media. Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra also joined the conversation and interacted briefly with the state BJP president before leaving.

When questioned by reporters regarding the suspension, Shamik Bhattacharya refrained from commenting directly on the Lok Sabha's internal proceedings, noting that he is a member of the Rajya Sabha. He stated that he was not fully aware of the specifics of the incident and added that the Trinamool Congress would act in accordance with the decision taken by the Lok Sabha.
