In a recent Instagram story, Kangana Ranaut voiced concerns about the dark web activities of 'popular film personalities,' suggesting their involvement in illegal practices such as hacking WhatsApp and accessing emails. Ranaut's assertions, while lacking specific names, have ignited discussions on the nexus between Bollywood and cybercrime. This revelation comes in the wake of Ranaut's previous claims of being targeted by the 'film mafia' with her accounts allegedly hacked in July 2023.

Without naming anyone in her Instagram story, Kangana wrote, "Centre should do something about the dark web as well. Many popular film personalities are hooked on to it, not just consuming illegal stuff from there but also hacking in to everyone’s communications like WhatsApp and mails. Many big names will be exposed if they crack them down."
