In its 10th list for the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made significant changes, including the cancellation of sitting MP Kirron Kher's ticket from Chandigarh. Sanjay Tandon, former state president of Chandigarh and currently co-in-charge of Himachal Pradesh, has been nominated in her place. The list comprises nine candidates, including replacements for seven seats in Uttar Pradesh and candidates for Asansol and Chandigarh seats in West Bengal. Neeraj Shekhar, son of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar, has been given the ticket for Ballia seat in Uttar Pradesh, replacing Virendra Singh Mast.
Sanjay Tandon has been nominated in place of Kirron Kher from Chandigarh, while other changes include Neeraj Tripathi replacing Rita Bahuguna Joshi in Phulpur, and Praveen Patel taking the place of Keshari Devi Patel from Phulpur. Additionally, SS Ahluwalia will contest against Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol, marking his third time contesting the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal. Jaiveer Thakur will represent BJP against Samajwadi Party's Dimple Yadav in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. These alterations reflect BJP's strategic repositioning as the election date draws near.
