In a decisive strike against regional organized crime, Kishanganj police have seized 3.857 kilograms of brown sugar, estimated at an international market value of Rs 7.7 crore. This major anti-narcotics operation, conducted under strict directives from the Superintendent of Police, highlights an intensified crackdown on illicit activities across the district.
Alongside the narcotics seizure, law enforcement authorities apprehended 59 individuals implicated in a wide range of criminal offenses. The suspects were involved in activities including liquor smuggling, vehicle theft, and residential burglary. The operation also targeted the distribution of illicit substances, resulting in the confiscation of over 1,900 liters of foreign liquor.
Furthermore, the district police maintained a rigorous presence on the roads, collecting over Rs 5 lakh in fines for various traffic violations. Investigations into the apprehended individuals remain ongoing as police process the evidence recovered during the operation.
