Kolkata Metro extends timings & increases daily services starting Monday | Check schedule

Kolkata Metro has announced an extension of its operating hours and an increase in daily rake services on an experimental basis starting Monday. Trains will now begin earlier at 6:00 AM and run later into the night across both the Blue Line (North-South) and Green Line (East-West) corridors.

1. Key Changes in Service Schedule

• Earlier Start: Trains on major routes will now commence as early as 6:00 AM on weekdays.

• Extended Night Services: Last trains on several key routes will operate past 10:00 PM, extending up to 10:43 PM.

• Increased Frequency: Metro Railway has scaled up total daily trips across weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays to accommodate passengers.

2. Blue Line (North-South Corridor) Timings

First Train Services (Weekdays)

• Kavi Subhash (Shahid Khudiram) to Dakshineswar: 6:00 AM

• Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash (Shahid Khudiram): 6:00 AM

• Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Tollygunge) to Dakshineswar: 6:15 AM

• Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Tollygunge) to Dum Dum: 6:15 AM

• Dum Dum to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Tollygunge): 6:15 AM

• Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash (Shahid Khudiram): 6:15 AM

Last Train Services (Weekdays & Sundays)

• Kavi Subhash (Shahid Khudiram) to Dakshineswar: 10:15 PM

• Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash (Shahid Khudiram): 10:03 PM

• Dakshineswar to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar: 10:18 PM

• Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dakshineswar: 10:28 PM

• Dum Dum to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar: 10:30 PM

• City Centre to Howrah Maidan: 6:15 AM

Last Train Services (Weekdays & Sundays)

• Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V: 10:30 PM

• Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan: 10:30 PM

• City Centre to Howrah Maidan: 10:36 PM

4. Sunday Special Timings

• Blue Line: First metro services will begin at 9:00 AM (9:05 AM for Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash), with last trains running up to 10:30 PM.

• Green Line: First metro services will begin at 9:00 AM (9:02 AM from Salt Lake Sector V), with last trains operating until 10:36 PM.

5. Increase in Daily Metro Services

Blue Line Trip Expansion:

• Monday – Friday: Increased from 260 to 272 services.

• Saturday: Increased from 246 to 258 services.

• Sunday: Increased from 152 to 158 services.

Green Line Trip Expansion:

• Monday – Friday: Increased from 228 to 236 services.

• Saturday: Increased from 204 to 212 services.

• Sunday: Increased from 108 to 111 services.
