In a disturbing incident, Dhiren Saha, a resident of Newtown Noapara, has been arrested on charges of raping a dancer.
The arrest was made by the police of Ecopark police station after receiving a complaint from the victim.
According to police sources, the victim, who hails from Delhi and works as a bar dancer, alleged that Dhiren Saha, her landlord, sexually assaulted her when she was alone at home on Friday morning.
Acting promptly on the complaint, the police of Eco Park police station apprehended Dhiren Saha. The accused was produced in the Barasat court today and subsequently taken into police custody for further investigation.
