"I couldn't run the way you do," Firhad praises Agnimitra Paul in Assembly
At least 13 people were killed on Friday when a massive boulder crashed onto a moving Tata Sumo in the tribal Pangi valley of Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district. The accident occurred at Kadu Nallah along the Killar–Udaipur road after a large section of the adjacent hillside gave way and crushed the passing vehicle.
Bharmour-Pangi MLA Dr. Janak Raj confirmed the tragedy, stating that all 13 occupants inside the vehicle died in the incident. Emergency response units and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the spot to conduct relief operations and retrieve the victims' bodies from the mangled wreckage.
The Killar–Udaipur highway traverses steep mountainous terrain known for its high vulnerability to landslides and rockfalls. Authorities are currently clearing the accumulated debris to restore traffic flow while warning commuters about hazardous conditions along mountain corridors during the ongoing monsoon season.
