In a disturbing incident, miscreants targeted a house in Mohalla Munnalal of Mawana town, stealing jewellery, valuables, and cash amounting to lakhs of rupees late on Friday night. The stolen items, including wedding jewellery, were kept in the house in preparation for an upcoming family wedding. The police are actively engaged in the investigation, relying on CCTV footage to track down the perpetrators.
Hina Deshwal, a resident of Niloha village, residing in Mohalla Munnalal of Premnagar Colony in Mawana, Meerut reported the theft. According to Hina, her brother's wedding is scheduled for December 7th, and the family had stored jewellery and valuables in the house for the occasion. Unfortunately, a family member's sudden health deterioration prompted the entire family to rush to Niloha village on Friday night. Upon returning on Saturday, they discovered the burglary.
The thieves had forcibly entered the house, breaking the lock, and made off with jewellery and valuables worth Rs 13 lakh, along with Rs 65 thousand in cash kept in the cupboard. The victim's family found the household items scattered, signaling a thorough ransacking. The matter was promptly reported to the Mawana police station. A case against unknown miscreants has been registered, and the police are diligently scanning CCTV cameras for potential leads. Police say that the miscreants will be detected soon.
