Full state honors for Ratan Tata, one day mourning announced in Maharashtra
Two unidentified bike-borne individuals fired four rounds of bullets outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai's Bandra early on Sunday morning. However, the incident took a more alarming turn when gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing. Anmol, wanted in India and reportedly hiding in the US, issued a chilling warning to the actor in a purported social media post, called the firing only a "trailer".
"We want peace. If the only decision against oppression is war, then so be it. Salman Khan, we have only shown you a trailer so that you understand the magnitude of our strength and do not test it. This is the first and last warning. After this, shots will not be fired outside the house only. And we have dogs named after Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel, whom you consider to be Gods. Now, I don't have the habit of talking much," the post read.
Following the incident, security around Salman Khan's residence has been significantly tightened. The crime branch, along with local police and forensic teams, swiftly arrived at the scene for further investigation. Shells of bullets fired outside Khan's house were recovered as part of the ongoing probe.
This is not the first time that Salman Khan has faced threats from gangsters. Both jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted gangster Goldy Brar have previously issued death threats to the Bollywood actor.
