BJP gherao 'New TMC' MLA Sandipan Saha's house in Entally, protest over 'cut money'
Persistent waterlogging in Liluah’s Ravindra Sarani area has triggered fresh protests from residents and school parents, who say the situation has remained unchanged for years. Even after recent rainfall, locals allege that the water has not receded, causing severe disruption to daily movement.
Parents of students from a nearby English-medium school, located directly in front of the waterlogged stretch, say children struggle to access the premises safely. Local residents claim that despite repeated complaints, the area continues to suffer from year-round stagnant water and unhygienic conditions.
Frustrated by the lack of response, residents have now filed a formal complaint against the Bali Municipality. They allege that civic officials have failed to take even basic measures to address the drainage issues that cause the recurring flooding.
According to locals, municipality officials have remained silent despite multiple appeals, leaving residents with no choice but to block roads to draw attention to the longstanding problem.
