BJP stalwart Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to Apollo Hospital. As per reports, he has been kept under observation. "His condition is stable", said the hospital. Advani has been admitted under Dr Vinit Suri who is a senior Neurology consultant.
The details of LK Advani's illness were not known immediately. This is his second hospitalization recently as earlier last week, the 96-year-old leader was admitted to the AIIMS hospital due to age-related health problems.
Advani was examined by a team of doctors from multiple specialties, including urology and geriatric medicine, and had undergone a minor procedure. He was discharged on June 27.
Advani served as the deputy prime minister of India from June 2002 to May 2004. He was also the Union Home Minister from October 1999 to May 2004. LK Advani was elected as BJP president multiple times -- from 1986 to 1990, 1993 to 1998 and 2004 to 2005.
