Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
Wednesday proved to be a challenging day for countless commuters relying on local trains to reach Howrah station, as engine issues led to significant service delays. Multiple trains experienced disruptions, affecting many people traveling for work or other essential purposes. The delays began around 11:15 AM, causing frustration for passengers who rely on these trains for daily commutes.
The trouble started when a local train from Burdwan broke down on platform number three just as it was entering Howrah station. This technical issue created a backlog, with other trains halted at various platforms. The stalled train led to a halt in local services, causing a domino effect resulting in a 40 to 45-minute delay for many subsequent trains.
For passengers waiting to reach their destination, the delays became increasingly inconvenient, and as time wore on, some decided to get off and proceed on foot along the railway tracks. While walking along the tracks isn’t typically encouraged, it reflects the level of inconvenience caused by the sudden delay.
According to Eastern Railway sources, the engine breakdown required a replacement, which was carried out with urgency, but not before considerable time had lapsed. The railway officials acknowledged the inconvenience to passengers and noted that they were working as swiftly as possible to restore normal service.
