Trump 2.0 can be bad for Indians in USA but good for companies in India
A potential train disaster was averted on Sunday evening when the loco pilot of a shuttle train from Raebareli spotted a pile of soil on the tracks near Raghuraj Singh station at around 7:55 PM. The pilot acted swiftly, halting the train and ensuring the safety of passengers before railway officials were alerted to clear the obstruction and resume services.
The soil was reportedly dumped by a dumper driver involved in local road construction activities. Witnesses observed the dumper unloading soil onto the tracks shortly before the train was halted. Station House Officer Devendra Bhadoria confirmed that the driver fled the scene, prompting an investigation to identify and apprehend them.
This incident follows a trend of safety threats to railways in Uttar Pradesh, including a recent occurrence where a freight train narrowly avoided disaster after its pilot spotted an empty LPG cylinder on the tracks near Kanpur. These events have raised concerns about rail safety across the region. Railway authorities are enhancing monitoring and implementing stricter safety protocols to protect passengers.
