NCP leader Baba Siddique shot multiple times and dies in Mumbai Hospital
The top commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Friday the country had developed a long-range cruise missile with a range of 1,650 kilometers and was looking forward to killing former United States President Donald Trump, Reuters reported.
Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Revolutionary Guards' air and space forces, told that "we want to kill Trump," the report said. Showing the new Paveh cruise missile.
Iran has repeatedly threatened the US to avenge the January 2020 killing of Iran's top commander Qassem Soleimani in a US drone strike. The development of the missile is likely to raise concerns in the West after Russia used Iranian drones in its war against Ukraine.
"Our cruise missile with a range of 1,650 km has been added to the missile arsenal of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Hajizadeh said. He added that Iran had no intention of killing "a group of poor soldiers" when it launched a ballistic missile attack on US-led forces in Iraq, days after Soleimani was killed.
“God willing, we will be able to kill Trump, Pompeo (former United States Secretary of State) and other military commanders who gave the order to kill Soleimani. They are the ones who must be killed,” Hajizadeh said, according to the report.
