Celebrated playback singer Lucky Ali took to social media on Friday to share a heartfelt and cryptic note, expressing the loneliness he feels as a Muslim in today's world. He hinted that his friends have abandoned him due to his religion and lamented how being a Muslim can lead to being unfairly labelled as a terrorist. "It's a lonely thing to be a Muslim in the world today... It's a lonely thing to follow the sunnah of the Prophet. Your friends will leave you, the world will call you a terrorist," he wrote.
The post quickly garnered attention, with fans expressing their concern and offering support. One user reassured him, saying, "Ustaad ji there are good people and there are bad people. For whatever it's worth, coming from a nobody like me, you are a legend and always will be." Another commented, "And if your friends are leaving you, they were never your friends. You should be thankful that because of your religious belief you're able to understand the psyche of people around you." Lucky Ali, the son of the late actor Mehmood, has established himself as a cult singer in India with hits like "O Sanam," "Ek Pal Ka Jeena," and "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum." He currently resides in Bengaluru, where he also practices organic farming.
