Mohan Yadav sworn in as the CM of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, taking the oath of office at Bhopal's Lal Parade Ground. The swearing-in ceremony was graced by the presence of PM Modi, who witnessed Governor Mangubhai Patel administering the oath. Joining Yadav in this pivotal moment were Jagdish Devda and Ravindra Shukla, who were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.
The high-profile event drew attention not only from national leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and BJP's national president JP Nadda but also from Chief Ministers of various BJP-ruled states.
The Lal Parade Ground hosted a gathering of political heavyweights, with CM's like Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), Pushkar Singh Dhami (Uttarakhand), Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana), and Eknath Shinde (Maharashtra) attending the ceremony. Notable figures such as former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State BJP chief VD Sharma, and newly-elected speaker Narendra Singh Tomar were also present.
The event witnessed tight security measures, with traffic diversions implemented for the convenience of special guests. VIP Road, Polytechnic Square, Ban Ganga Square, and Court Road were strictly off-limits to vehicles. The stage featured saffron-clad saints, symbolizing the party's commitment to Hindutva. The ceremony's essence was captured in a video, allowing wider access to the momentous occasion.
