Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday announced a three-day state mourning following the demise of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. The decision was taken as a mark of respect, with the state government issuing formal instructions to observe mourning across Maharashtra.
As part of the announcement, all official entertainment programmes and celebratory government events have been suspended during the mourning period. The national flag will be flown at half-mast on all government buildings throughout the state for the duration of the mourning.
Chief Minister Fadnavis expressed condolences and said the contribution of the departed leader would be remembered with deep respect. The government has also directed departments to ensure that protocols related to state mourning are followed strictly.
