Starting from January 7th to January 21st, numerous local trains originating from Howrah will face cancellations and altered schedules due to ongoing maintenance work at platform number 15 of Howrah station. The Eastern Railway sources report that maintenance activities, including power block installations and overhead power work, will be conducted during this period. The affected services include Up Panskura locals (38421, 38425, 38435, 38441, 38317, 38449, 38451) and Up Mecheda local (38303), all of which will be canceled. Additionally, two Mecheda-Howrah locals (38308, 38312) on the down line and four Panskura-Howrah trains (38436, 38440, 38450, 38456) will also face cancellations.
To manage the disruptions, alternative arrangements have been made, with Mecheda-Howrah Local (38306), Panskura-Howrah Local (38408, 38412, 38414, 38418, 38422), and Uluberia-Howrah Local (38104) shifting their departure point to Santragachi station. Furthermore, trains such as Medinipur-Howrah (38808) and Ghatshila-Howrah MEMU Express (18034) will operate from Santragachi station instead of Howrah during this maintenance period. Passengers are advised to check revised schedules and departure points to accommodate their travel plans accordingly.
