Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
In a significant administrative move, Sitamarhi Superintendent of Police Amit Ranjan has transferred 32 police officers, including 9 Station House Officers (SHOs). The decision, issued under order number 1023/2025, has been implemented with immediate effect. The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening internal functioning, managing law and order, and reorganizing postings ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
As per the new postings, Rupesh Kumar has been appointed as the SHO of Nanpur, while Abhishek Tripathi will take charge of Riga. Sandhya Rani has been posted to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) police station. Sumit Kumar has been moved from Parsouni to Parihar. Jitendra Kumar has been shifted from Sitamarhi Sadar to Sahiara. Other appointments include ChandraGupt Kumar at Bhutahi, Om Pukar Priya at Suppi, Atmanand Kumar at Garha, and Mukesh Kumar-1 from Sonbarsa to Parsouni.
Further transfers include Rakesh Kumar to the Cyber Police Station. Sohit Yadav and Samvedna Snehi have both been assigned to Sitamarhi police station. Omprakash Gupta will now serve at Riga, while Vimlesh Kumar Singh has been posted to Dumra. Mukesh Kumar has been assigned to Runni Saidpur, and Sanjeev Kumar has been posted to Mehandwara.
According to police officials, these transfers are part of a regular restructuring process within the district. All transferred officers have been directed to report to their new posts without delay. The department has emphasized timely implementation to ensure uninterrupted police operations across the region.
