On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Digha beach witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees and tourists. The bathing ghats along the Digha coast attracted a large crowd, with people paying homage to the Sun God and taking ritual baths in the sea.
The beach was adorned with the presence of both tourists and locals who participated in the festivities, creating a remarkable sight. In order to ensure the safety of the visitors, security arrangements were in place, with personnel from Digha Police Station and Maina Coastal Police Station providing security, including patrolling the beach on speed boats. The scenic Digha beach has currently become a gathering spot for hundreds of thousands of tourists celebrating Makar Sankranti.
