 Mamata announces Rs 24,000 crore investment in North Bengal's small and medium industries

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee unveiled ambitious plans during a government service delivery ceremony in Alipurduar, declaring an investment of Rs 24,000 crore in small and medium industries in North Bengal. Addressing the gathering, Mamata Banerjee assured that the funds for Kharif farming would be credited to farmers' accounts by December 12.

The Chief Minister, currently on a seven-day tour of North Bengal, inaugurated 27 projects, laid the foundation stone for 77 projects, and distributed pattas to tea workers, emphasizing the state's commitment to development and welfare initiatives.

Mamata Banerjee, while highlighting the focus on making Alipurduar a new district, emphasized the importance of the tea plantation leases and tourism industries in the region. The Chief Minister reiterated the government's efforts to provide leases for all refugee colonies and announced the initiation of 70 projects worth approximately Rs 93 crore 32 lakh.

Additionally, Mamata Banerjee assured that drinking water would reach 1 lakh 20 thousand houses by December 24. Taking a swipe at the central government, she criticized the BJP, alleging that they merely engage in brokerage through advertisements without addressing fundamental issues.
