Mamata awards 50 lakhs to female footballers of East Bengal team
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will depart for the United Kingdom tonight at 8:20 PM via Dubai, with her arrival in London scheduled for Sunday afternoon (IST). Initially set to leave Kolkata at 9:10 AM today, her itinerary was revised, and she will now take a CCU-DXB flight to Dubai before landing at Gatwick Airport in London.
Banerjee's UK visit includes multiple official engagements. On March 24, she will attend an event at the Indian High Commission. On March 25, she is expected to participate in an industry conference, followed by a government-level business meeting on March 26, where she may address Non-Resident Bengalis. A key event at Oxford University is scheduled for March 27, with discussions likely to focus on Bengal’s economic and cultural initiatives.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Kolkata on March 28. Her visit is expected to include discussions on trade, investment, and global collaborations. The revised schedule ensures her participation in all planned events without disruption.
