In a surprising move ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee embarked on a surprise visit to North Bengal on Sunday, arriving at Hasimara Air Force Base from Kolkata Airport. The Chief Minister is set to spend the night in Hasimara and will attend an official function on January 29 in the afternoon. Government sources reveal that during this visit, Mamata Banerjee will make a significant announcement regarding examinations in the Rajvanshi language for 192 Rajvanshi schools in the state.
After addressing a government meeting, the Chief Minister is scheduled to participate in an official function at Fulbari in Siliguri in the afternoon. Following this, she will address a public meeting at the Rasmela ground in Cooch Behar. The construction of the stage for the Chief Minister's meeting is currently underway, with the entire area adorned with posters declaring "Didi alone is equal to 100 against the BJP."
