West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee marked the occasion of Trinamool Congress's foundation day on January 1 by extending warm greetings to party workers.

Banerjee pledged to continue the fight for the common people, vowing not to surrender before any evil force. Trinamool Congress, formed by Mamata Banerjee in 1998 after parting ways with Congress, achieved electoral success in 2011, toppling the Left Front government. With landslide victories in the 2016 and 2021 assembly elections, Banerjee secured her position as the chief minister for the third consecutive term.
