Mamata voices concern over Saif Ali Khan's attack, warns of security risks to SRK & Salman

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by miscreants at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, late at night. The assault occurred around midnight, leading to the actor sustaining injuries. He was quickly taken to a hospital and is now reported to be out of danger. The Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the incident, aiming to identify the attackers and determine the cause of the attack.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed deep concern over the attack, offering her support to Saif Ali Khan and his family. In a statement, Mamata wished for the actor’s swift recovery and emphasized that the law should take its course, with strict measures against the perpetrators. Mamata also called for stringent actions to prevent such incidents from happening again, underlining the importance of law enforcement and security.

Mamata Banerjee went on to discuss the broader issue of celebrity safety, pointing out that other notable figures, such as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, could also face risks. "Shah Rukh Khan’s life is at risk too. Salman Khan’s is as well. Saif Ali Khan was not on the list, but suddenly there was an attack," she stated. This comment drew attention to the need for enhanced security measures for public figures.

The attack on Saif Ali Khan has sparked political reactions from across party lines. Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena UBT raised questions about the safety of citizens in Mumbai, particularly celebrities. "If celebrities are not safe, then who is safe in Mumbai?" she asked, pointing to the vulnerability of high-profile individuals. Other political figures, including Arvind Kejriwal and Varsha Eknath Gaikwad, also expressed their shock and support for Saif Ali Khan’s recovery, while calling for better security for public figures.

In response to the incident, BJP legislator Ram Kadam assured that the police would thoroughly investigate the attack and take appropriate action against the assailants. NCP leader Supriya Sule also expressed her concerns, emphasizing the need for stronger security measures to ensure the safety of public personalities. The Mumbai Police are continuing their investigation into the attack, reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence to identify those responsible.
