In a tragic incident, a 40-year-old man, identified as Sariful, was found decapitated in a wood cutting factory in Maliyoor village under Harishchandrapur police station in Maldah district on Monday. The man had reportedly gone to the factory with some wood, and while local sources claim foul play, the police are currently treating it as a case of unnatural death.
The deceased's brother, Humayun Kabir, expressed skepticism, stating that he believes his cousin was murdered, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice. Police have initiated an inquiry into the matter and have sent the body for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
