A man died after allegedly falling from a moving express train near Belda Railway Station in West Medinipur on Sunday morning. Local sources said the sudden fall created panic and commotion inside the railway station area. Passengers and people present nearby rushed to the spot after the incident, while the matter was immediately reported to the authorities.
After receiving information, Railway Police reached the location and recovered the body. The body was later sent for post-mortem examination as part of the investigation process.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Police officials said preliminary findings indicate that the man died after falling from the moving train, though the exact circumstances behind the incident are still unclear and are being investigated.
