Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A tragic and mysterious incident unfolded at the "New Gujarat Guest House" in Burrabazar, Kolkata, resulting in the death of a 37-year-old man, Paban Kumar Das. The event, which occurred on August 13, has prompted an "Unnatural Death Report" and a police investigation.
The sequence of events began with a telephonic call received at approximately 6:40 AM. The caller, identified as Tilak Kumar Shaw, the assistant manager of the guesthouse, reported that a boarder, Paban Kumar Das, was found lying unconscious on the third floor of the establishment. The scene was described as grim, with Das found in a pool of blood and vomit.
Upon receiving the information, police promptly took action. The individual was immediately shifted to the Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata for urgent medical attention. However, despite the swift response, he was tragically declared "brought dead" by the Emergency Medical Officer at 8:20 AM, just a couple of hours after the initial report.
A preliminary examination of the body has been conducted, but it has not provided a clear cause of death. The report indicates that no external injuries were found, and no complaint has been received from any quarter regarding the death.
