A man was shot dead in Noida’s Sector 142 on Sunday in a violent culmination of a long-standing property dispute. The fatal shooting occurred during a heated argument between two parties involved in a conflict over property in the nearby Sector 82.
Eyewitnesses at the scene described the tragic moment, with one witness stating, “The gunman fired from such close range that there was no chance to save the victim,” who was shot in the head and died instantly.
The property dispute had reportedly been escalating for some time, with tension between the two sides mounting until it boiled over into a deadly confrontation. The police were called to the scene immediately after the shooting and have launched an investigation.
Authorities have identified the suspect, and law enforcement teams have been dispatched to locate and arrest him. The Joint Commissioner of Police has assured that the accused will soon be in custody.
To expedite the investigation, police are examining CCTV footage from the area and interviewing witnesses who were present during the incident. The body of the victim has been sent for a postmortem examination, and the police are confident that they will secure the suspect’s arrest soon.
