In the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the West Bengal government approved a proposal to establish a solar energy plant in Gwalatod, with a project cost of ₹600 crore. The state government will contribute ₹200 crore towards the development of the plant. The tender for this project has been awarded to a German company, which will be responsible for its execution. This initiative is part of the state's ongoing efforts to enhance its renewable energy infrastructure and contribute to sustainable energy solutions.
