Manoj Verma is the new CP of Kolkata, Jawed Shamim appointed as ADG Law & Order

The West Bengal government appointed Manoj Kumar Verma as the new Kolkata Police Commissioner (CP), replacing him with Vineet Goyal on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vineet Kumar Goyal has been appointed as the ADG & IGP of STF in West Bengal.

Meanwhile, Jawed Shamim has been appointed by the state government as the ADG of Law & Order. Additionally, Abhishek Gupta (former DC North) has been transferred to the post of Commanding Officer, Eastern Frontier Rifles, 2nd Battalion.

Dipak Sarkar has been appointed as the new DC of North Kolkata. Gyanwant Singh has been made the ADG & IGP of West Bengal IB.

According to a notification by the state's Health and Family Welfare department on Tuesday, Dr Kaustav Nayak has now been appointed as the Director of the Institute of Health and Family Welfare and Debashish Halder has been appointed as the OSD, of Public Health at Swasthya Bhawan. They were removed by the Chief Minister following a meeting with the junior doctors.
