A fire broke out late at night at a cake shop in Polegustia, a village in Jagatballavpur Block, Howrah district, West Bengal. Two fire engines were dispatched promptly after the fire was reported. Police from Jagatballavpur police station also arrived at the scene.
The fire threatened to spread to nearby shops, but the fire department’s efforts contained it quickly, preventing further damage. No casualties or injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. The exact extent of property damage to the cake shop is yet to be disclosed.
